Twenty pages of incredible action and sturdy plot has turned me into a die-hard fan of The Favour Men.

My life is pretty busy these days and I’m not complaining, but rarely do I read anything that isn’t already in my TBR, (to-be-read), stack.

I whittled away at a few projects and tried to catch up on some Twitter when along comes a new follower with a bio that caught my eye. I followed the link to his website and promptly put my projects aside.

What caught my eye:

Charlie, I need a favour. What is it? Can’t say on the phone. Not safe. How much will I owe? Whatever you think is fair. Meet me at the underpass.

Not only a well-designed blog met my eye, but literary meat within. Open the pages to three brothers who live by a code of black and white. What’s right is right, what’s not gets punished.

An excerpt from some of the minor characters within Lost and Found:

Aldo could smell it before he entered the apartment. The thick stench of blood wafted into the eerily quiet hallway. This neighbourhood was known for a few violent crimes a week, probably why the odour would often go ignored.

“This is the place,” the officer accompanying him said. The short-blonde haired Rick Randell was about as close to a partner as Aldo was going to get.

“South-Ariel Police, open up,” Aldo said as he banged on the door. Rick took a turn hollering when there was no response. He tried the door handle, it came loose. Rick slowly pushed the door forward with his foot. “We found it open,” he said.

“So wipe the handle,” Aldo replied as he stepped into the apartment. “Hello? Police, we’re coming in.”

The stories revolve around these three brothers who, come what may, are there for those who cannot protect themselves.

Keep an eye out for Firas. I sure will be.
