On a personal note: I found it particularly amusing that I had difficulty completing this book due to having my dog persistently placing a chewed up toy in my lap and demanding to play. How could I not turn to my dog and take the moment to play with him when I was reading about brave police officer dogs? Not only was this an enjoyable read, it reaffirmed my commitment to spend more time with my dog. So thank you Ms. Chase, not only for the book, but for reminding me what a special bond I have with my dog.
